I contracted with {{Redacted}} of CertaPro Painters of Ocala and The Villages to paint the exterior of my eight-year old home. The house was painted the week of June 2nd. On June 9th I noticed areas where the paint was separating from the house. The paint would burst open leaving a soft edge sticking out. Additionally, on June 11, I found large areas with cracking paint that had separated. {{Redacted}} called fixing those areas touch-ups. They would pull off the soft loose paint, blob on caulk, and paint over the caulk.

The paint continues to separate from the house and burst leaving areas with soft and missing paint.

{{Redacted}} brought his Sherwin Williams Rep to my home on June 13th. {{Redacted}} announced that he would not honor his CertaPro warranty and that if I didnt like it I could take him to court. The Sherwin Williams Rep said Sherwin Williams would give me a 3 year warranty on the paint - just the paint, not the workmanship or application errors. I didnt think it was a paint issue so that offer puzzled me but I found out the next week that if I accepted that Sherwin Williams warranty it would be a settlement between me and {{Redacted}} so that I could not hold him responsible for the workmanship issues and the damage to my house.

{{Redacted}} of CertaPro Painters of Ocala and The Villages and {{Redacted}}, Director of Operations for the CertaPro corporate office, CertaPro Painters, Ltd. both take the position that there is nothing wrong with the workmanship and are even trying to blame the structural integrity of my house. There was no issue with the structural integrity of the house before it was painted by CertaPro but I am very concerned about the damage that CertaPro has done.

The paint continues to separate from the house and has many areas with soft and hanging paint.

i had a different painter look at the house. He believes that the CertaPro painter painted the house when it was wet. He said that the paint applied by CertaPro cannot be painted over.It will have to be removed before the house can be painted properly. They will have to take great care to remove the paint without damaging the stucco.

Not only am I out the money that I paid CertaPro, Ill have the expense of having the paint removed and new paint applied.

Job took much longer then two week estimate. I will give them credit for the days that rained.

I hired CertaPro over another contractor because they were cheaper. I asked the other contractor way they are more expensive then CertaPro. He said, because we don't hire subcontractors like CertaPro our painters are employee's of the company and have been working for us for years. With CertaPro I didn't know who on any given day was going to show up to paint my house.

After signing off on the job with CertaPro I found a large area behind gutters that was not scraped and painted with large areas of bare wood and old paint flaking off in chucks. There is no way they could have missed this.

I could add more but I will leave it at that. Needless to say I don't recommend having CertaPro paint your house.

I contracted CertaPro Painters to come and paint the exterior of my 4,504 square foot home a few weeks ago. The team showed up later in the morning and started working.

The job was originally slated to take about 7 days to complete. By the end of the fifth day, they indicated that the job was complete. An initial inspection indicated several areas that needed corrective action to complete the job. When they completed the work to their satisfaction, I contacted the management team indicating that there was still work unfinished that needed to be completed by an alternate team so that it was done correctly.

The owner indicated that he would contact me and put me on the schedule. So far, I have neither seen the owner nor the new team to complete the work. In my view, CertaPro is all about getting in and out quickly for the next job with poor attention to detail that requires the customer to call upon the franchise ownership to correct problems. I am hopeful that the franchise owner sees this review so that he can ensure that the customer should always come first rather than forgetting a customer while focusing only on the next job.

Dear writing to express our extreme dissatisfaction with the painting services provided by your company/franchise. Unfortunately, the quality of workmanship fell far short of our expectations, and several issues remain unresolved
Lack of Proper Preparation per your contract:
The exterior of our house was not adequately prepared before painting.

Cracks, scraping, holes, and other imperfections were left untouched and painted over.
The failure to address these issues compromised the overall appearance of the paint job
Deviation from the Quote and Contract
The work performed did not align with the original quote and contract we signed with Chris Stilwell.
Specific promises, such as covering furniture and fixtures, moving furniture, and maintaining a clean work area, were not fulfilled. Cracks, holes and scraping were left untouched in areas and painted over. Over spray on windows, pool Equipment and other areas.
Work area to be cleaned daily, Everyday we had to clean area from painters.
Two coat process but some areas were one coat only. Have video
Insufficient Workforce
We were promised a team of painters, but only one painter was assigned to our project for 4 of the 9 days, we were told 5-6 days max.
This resulted in delays and subpar workmanship.
Sub contractors hired off the corner, could not communicate well with them but was told by owner of company maybe we need to learn Spanish.
Failure to Address Repairs
Despite notifying CertaPro Franchise Nathan Marmor about the lack of preparation work, no action was taken.

We do have pictures & video.
Cracks, holes were left unfilled, and patches remained rough and unsightly.
Final Payment Requested Prematurely
Certapro Painters requested final payment before addressing our concerns, harassment from Nathan Marmor on payment
This approach is unprofessional and unacceptable.
We paid Certapro Painters before the 7 day grace period but we were turned over to a collection agency which was confused why since we paid Certapro Painters a Cashiers Check.
Resolution Request:
We expect CertaPro Painters not the Franchise division to make good on the warranty for the paint and walls peeling. We do not want this Franchise unit on our property.
Complete Repairs
Properly prepare the walls by filling holes, smoothing patches, and addressing any other imperfections
Ensure that the paint job meets professional standards.
Repair Glass panels on garage door chipped, broken and scratched by putty knifes used to tuck paper behind slats.
Orchard tree dying from Acid dumped by the tree, which they deny.
We had to have a bee keeper fix holes because painters refused to.
Windows professional cleaned from severe over spray
Two plants were replaced due to being removed from wall to paint per contract.
Adhere to the Original Agreement
Honor the terms outlined in the initial quote and contract.
Professional Conduct
We value our home and expect the highest level of craftsmanship. CertaPro Painters failure to meet these standards has left us disappointed and frustrated.
Please address these concerns promptly.

We look forward to a timely resolution. If necessary, we will explore other avenues to ensure our rights as consumers are protected.

I was told that all the old paint would be removed from the deck . The foreman of the came out and told me that they would be pressure wash with the best *** machine that money could buy .

And that l would not give a rats *** for the deck to be sanded . They pressure washed and very little of the paint was removed . They came out with a hand held circular sander which basically did nothing . Then l was told that the only industrial sander that the company owns is in Destin .

The sent one person over to sand . The machine was made to sand flat even surfaces . The man who came to do the sanding did not know how to install the sand paper or use the machine . I showed him how to use the machine .

Because it was not the correct sander fo uneven surfaces the paint was never fully removed as is stated at time of contract as well as on the website . I kept trying to explain to the guy to sand all the areas where the paint was peeling up . He kept sanding the same areas .

As you can see from my pictures . There is still mold and paint peeling .
